Untrue Crimes will feature nine episodes for nine regions of the England each one will focus on specific stories and locations relevant to the region.
West Midlands - Aston Hall
Episode One
This first episode will follow our presenter as she explores Aston Hall one of England's most haunted buildings. The Jacobean building was built by Sir Thomas Holte and feature multiple note worthy legends with the most well known being the story of the "Grey Lady" Mary Holte.
South East - Devil's Dyke
Episode Two
Here we explore the devil's Dyke which is considered to be one of the last places in England to convert to Christianity. It is said this drove the devil mad so he dug a to the sea in order to flood the area.
South West - Somerset and Cornwall
Episode Three
In this episode we will explore the south west which has a plethora of different tales and legends. From the dragons that supposedly roam the country side to the strange tale of clotted cream.
Greater London - Gog and Magog
Episode Four
This episode you will help us explore the city of London and its myths. we will learn and explore the legend of Gog and Magog the two mythical giants that protect London .
East England - Black Tom
Episode Five
Here we will be looking into Bedford's most famous ghost, a highwayman that was jailed sentenced to the gallows in 1800. He was hung in the middle of what is now a roundabout in Bedford and is said to of been by locals.
East Midlands - Black Annis
Episode Six
Here in the East Midlands our presenter will be exploring the legend of Black Annis a blue-faced hag with iron clues with a strong taste for humans. The hag is said to haunt and roam the countryside of Leicestershire living in a cave in the Dane hills.
